Introduction

Monitoring client devices, specifically for hard disk space and application related services & files, has become a critical part of daily operations. Enterprise’s, such as retail, service industries, pharmaceutical etc, cannot afford failure on a store’s point of sale device. When conducting sales transactions that involves/contains customer personal information it’s vital to monitor the device resources and security properly.

RemoteRelief utilizes RemoteLink, which will enable the user to setup a monitoring tool that will run on each device on a setup interval to monitor all needed resources and applications, whilst ensuring proper functionality of the devices. A file watcher can also be created to monitor a specific folder on any device.

What you need?

The enterprise’s store operation team will work with our team at RemoteRelief to identify the requirements. What do you need to monitor? You can specify if you need a separate alert for each monitoring e.g. an alert for disk space, an alert when services are not running or stopping.

Process

RemoteRelief will customize the following three procedures to achieve this task:

  • Setup a RemoteLink session
  • Create a script to monitor the devices.
  • Provide alerts and logging capability.
  • Setup a schedule on RemoteLink server to run the session on each device
