New VMware AirWatch release delivers new console section tailored to support new iOS 9.3 education features.
With VMWare AirWatch 8.4, we are delivering exciting and more intuitive features to manage Apple devices used in the classroom. We added easy ways to sort your students and teachers by the classes they belong to, and then assign devices and apps to those classes. Whether you have 1:1 or shared device deployments, we make it easy to manage your teachers, students, classes, apps, devices and carts.
Integration with Apple School Manager allows you to import data like class information, students’ managed Apple IDs and class rosters into the console. Use AirWatch to match devices with students or carts and assign apps (to users or devices). You can also make things easy for teachers by configuring the new Classroom app. This new app helps teachers guide students in their classwork and makes it easy for students to recognize their devices by adding their photos to display on iPad lock screens.
